This week we celebrated the life of Jerry Humphrey. Jerry passed from this life last weekend. I had the privilege of speaking at his service.

Jerry was a man's man. He loved to fish and hunt. He road a Harley. But he was way more than that. He was a remarkable husband, father, brother, grandpa and friend.

But most of all Jerry loved Jesus. He had a remarkable way of sharing his faith without judging anyone. He walked with Jesus.

I knew him as one of the leaders of our church. I worked for Jerry for 13 years. He was always so very encouraging to this pastor.

Here is the verse that was shared at his service.

"but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not grow faint."
