Sandhill Crane Sunset II

I had to fix this post - sorry. Found something wrong with the pic.

Anyway - this was the last sunset for the Season at Rowe. Roger W. and I shut down the place on April 9th.

The sun was setting fast and all of a sudden there was a rush of cranes getting off of the river. My guess is that an eagle spooked them.

We had seen an eagle on the river downstream from us. He had a very large fish in his possession. He finally had his fill and flew off. His presence was really bothering the cranes who had come back to the river.

My thanks to Roger and Moose for putting up with me in the photo blind. I had a great time.

Thanks Moose for the D3s.

Can't wait tell next year.
