OK - before we get into same crane photos - I wanted to share a couple of artsy fartsy stuff from my favorite junkyard.
It is in the middle of no where - but it is on some back roads that I always take when looking for Sandhill Cranes.
I do not have permission to go into the junkyard. So I just stand on the outside and look for stuff that I can shoot with my 70-200.
It really is a great place. Here is the first of several that I want to share. I was really captured by the color and shape of this car. The rust is awesome and the reflection in the windows really worked.
When approaching this subject I do what I do with any subject. I look around for great light and what I might be hitting. I take my time before I shoot at the junkyard because it is not going anywhere. So slow down. Look. And all of a sudden you start seeing all kinds of things that you would have never seen if you would have just started clicking.
