Junkyard Treasure

We headed out one last time this season to a photo blind on the Platte River. Our goal - Sandhill Cranes. Last time - it was just OK.

We started out - with lots of fog. Which is cool...if you are shooting at a junkyard. Not so cool if you wanted to shoot a real big fire ball over the Platte River with thousands of Sandhill Cranes filling your frame.

So we went to the junkyard. Here is a super cool old pickup. It was cold and wet. At this point we were getting worried that we would be shut out and freezing in the blind. But this is NE and things would change. There is more to the story.
