Linda and I drove down to Brownville, Ne to see my parents on Labor Day. It was a spectacular day in NE. Beautiful weather. After a nice visit with my folks we headed to Indian Cave State Park.
Indian Cave is on the MO river, so a lot of the park is not open because of the flooding.
I spotted some butterflies and stopped for a few clicks. The key for butterfly photos is a nice long lens - that throws the background out of focus. And a good looking butterfly. Some butterflies are all beat up. They just don't look all that good.
I learned this from Tom Bol when I asked him what was one of the keys to taking a good picture of a flower. He said - "you need a good flower." So when taking pics of butterflies, look for a good one.
