Chimney Bluff State Park

We had a chance to stop for a little while at a wonderful state park in NY. Chimney Bluff State Park is on Lake Ontario near Sodus Bay. We happened to stay on Sodus Bay last fall when we visited Justin, but only found out about this place on this visit.

Great place to explore - great views of the lake and some fascinating shapes everywhere. Which I could have been there at sunrise or sunset.

We found this place when the host at the bed and breakfast in Fredonia, NY suggested that we try it. That is one of the reasons we like staying at Bed and Breakfast spots - not only is it usually more comfortable than a motel - the folks know the area and love sharing it with their guests. I think for $10 more we had the place to ourselves - a great breakfast and new place to explore.

If you are traveling in upstate NY - try the Brookside Manor in Fredonia.
