The 50mm 1.4 is a great lens for these little flowers. The 1.4 allows you to control the background and create a mood that you just can't get without it.
The 50 mm is a relatively inexpensive lens compared to the other 1.4 lens. I would love to have a 28 or a 24 but that is in another stratosphere when it comes to affordability. But the 50 really is a ton of fun to shoot with.
